And We preserved his good name among later peoples.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Who protects the memory of good people?"
Watch the Jellybean Tales video Al-Hafeez.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah keep for Ilyas?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How is Ilyas remembered today?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saffat is surah 37. Find ayah 129. The key word taraka means We left. Even though most of his people rejected him, Allah, Al-Hafiz, the Preserver, kept Ilyas's good name alive in the Quran forever. Allah preserves good deeds and good people, even when the world forgets.
Fact: What does the name Al-Hafiz mean?
Ages 5–8: Memory box. Make a memory box of good things your family did this year.
Ages 9–12: Preserved forever. Write why being remembered by Allah matters more than being famous.
Finish with: "I found that Al-Hafiz means ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do one quiet good deed that only Allah remembers."
Action: Do one quiet good deed that only Allah remembers.
