لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّۭا وَيَحِقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
Lliyundhira man kāna ḥayyan wayaḥiqqa l-qaw'lu ʻalāl-kāfirīna
That it may give admonition to any (who are) alive, and that the charge may be proved against those who reject (Truth).

The Quran warns anyone whose heart is alive, and makes the case clear against those who refuse.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How can you tell if a plant is alive?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who benefits from the warning?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What makes a heart alive?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ya-Sin is surah 36. Find ayah 70. The key word hayyan means alive. Scholars explain this as a living heart: one that listens, feels and responds. A dried-out plant does not drink water, but a living one does. Reading the Quran often keeps our hearts alive and growing.
Fact: How long can a cactus survive without rain?
Ages 5–8: Plant drink. Put a white flower in coloured water and watch it drink over a day.
Ages 9–12: Heart habits. List five habits that keep a heart alive to Allah's words.
Finish with: "I found that a cactus can survive about ___ without rain."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will read or listen to the Quran every day, even for a short time."
Action: Read the Quran daily.
