وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ
Wa 'in nnasha'' nugh'riq'hum' falā ṣarīkha lahum' walā hum' yunqadhūna
If it were Our Will, We could drown them: then would there be no helper (to hear their cry), nor could they be delivered,

If Allah willed, people at sea could drown with no one able to rescue them.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do sailors feel in a big storm?"
Watch the Wolfgang227 video Cargo Ship in Storm.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who can really save people at sea?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do people pray more in storms?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ya-Sin is surah 36. Find ayah 43. The key word sarikh means someone to answer a cry for help. Even the biggest ship is small in a storm. People only reach shore safely because Allah keeps them. The Quran notes that people at sea often call on Allah sincerely when the waves rise.
Fact: What is the name of the safety vest that keeps people afloat?
Ages 5–8: Storm in a tub. Make waves in a tub with a toy boat and notice how small it is.
Ages 9–12: Sea safety. Make a poster of five water safety rules.
Finish with: "I found that the vest is called a ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank Allah for keeping me safe each evening."
Action: Thank Allah for keeping you safe each evening.
Always have an adult with you near deep water, even if you can swim.
