لِيَأْكُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ
Liya''kulū min thamarihī wamā ʻamilat'hu 'ay'dīhim' . 'afalā yash'kurūna
That they may enjoy the fruits of this (artistry): It was not their hands that made this: will they not then give thanks?

People eat fruit their own hands could never create, so they should give thanks.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Could anyone build an apple from scratch?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What question does Allah ask at the end?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How many ways can I say thank you to Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ya-Sin is surah 36. Find ayah 35. The key word yashkurun means they give thanks. A farmer plants and waters, but cannot design a seed or make sunshine. The colour, taste and goodness of fruit come from Allah. Thankfulness means using His gifts well, saying thanks and sharing.
Fact: How many seeds are inside an average apple?
Ages 5–8: Fruit thanks. Cut open a fruit, count its seeds and say one thank-you for each.
Ages 9–12: Who made it? Pick one meal and list every part, then mark what humans made and what Allah created.
Finish with: "I found that an apple has about ___ seeds."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will share one fruit with someone and thank Allah together."
Action: Share one fruit with someone and thank Allah together.
