إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍۢ
'In yasha'' yudh'hib'kum' waya''ti bikhal'qin jadīdin
If He so pleased, He could blot you out and bring in a New Creation.

If Allah wished, He could replace people with a completely new creation.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can you think of a creature that does not exist yet?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What could Allah bring instead?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Does Allah need us?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Fatir is surah 35. Find ayah 16. The key words khalqin jadid mean a new creation. Allah does not need us; He created us out of kindness. He could bring a whole new creation if He wanted. This reminds us to be humble and grateful that He chose to create us and give us chances.
Fact: About how many new species of animals and plants do scientists describe each year?
Ages 5–8: Imaginary creature. Draw a creature nobody has seen and remember that only Allah can truly create.
Ages 9–12: Species news. Find one species discovered in the last few years and write two facts about it.
Finish with: "I found that scientists describe about ___ new species a year."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank Allah each night for creating me."
Action: Thank Allah each night for creating you.
