لِّيَسْـَٔلَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ عَن صِدْقِهِمْ ۚ وَأَعَدَّ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا
Lliyas''ala ṣṣādiqīna ʻan ṣid'qihim' . wa'aʻadda lil'kāfirīna ʻadhāban 'alīman
That (Allah) may question the (custodians) of Truth concerning the Truth they (were charged with): And He has prepared for the Unbelievers a grievous Penalty.

Allah will ask even the truthful about their truthfulness, and a painful punishment awaits those who reject.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "If someone asked about your honesty, what would you say?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who will be questioned?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why ask the truthful about their truth?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ahzab is surah 33. Find ayah 8. The key word as-sadiqin means the truthful. Even the most honest will be asked about their truth, to show everyone their faithfulness. Being truthful is not just avoiding lies: it is being true in words, actions and promises.
Fact: Which name, meaning the truthful one, was given to the Prophet's close companion Abu Bakr?
Ages 5–8: Truth meter. Make a paper dial and move it to true every time you tell the truth today.
Ages 9–12: Three kinds of truth. Write examples of being truthful in words, deeds and promises.
Finish with: "I found that Abu Bakr was called ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make my actions match my words."
Action: Make your actions match your words.
