Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What is the most serious promise you have ever made?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which five prophets are named?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What did the prophets promise?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ahzab is surah 33. Find ayah 7. The key word mithaq means a solid covenant or promise. Allah took a strong promise from the prophets to deliver His message faithfully. Five are named here: Muhammad, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa and Isa. Scholars call them ulul 'azm, the prophets of great determination.

Fact: In which other surah are these same five prophets named together?

Ages 5–8: Five stars. Draw five stars and write one prophet's name on each.

Ages 9–12: Determination. Write one example of great determination from each of the five prophets.

Finish with: "I found that they are named together in surah ___."

• What does determination mean to you?
• What promise can you keep with determination?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will keep one promise even when it is hard."
