وَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَدَعْ أَذَىٰهُمْ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَكِيلًۭا
Wa lā tuṭiʻi l-kāfirīna wal-munāfiqīna wadaʻ' 'adhāhum' watawakkal' ʻalā-llahi . wakafā bi-llahi wakīlan
And obey not (the behests) of the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and heed not their annoyances, but put thy Trust in Allah. For enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

The Prophet is told not to give in to those against him, to ignore their hurtful words and to trust Allah.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you do when someone says hurtful things?"
Watch the Little Muslim Learner cartoon Trust Allah: Tawakkul.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What should he do with their hurtful words?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I ignore unkind words?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ahzab is surah 33. Find ayah 48. The key words da' adhahum mean leave aside their harm. The Prophet faced many unkind words, but he did not let them stop him. He kept going and trusted Allah. Sometimes the strongest response to hurtful talk is to stay calm and continue doing good.
Fact: Which ayah in Surah Al-Furqan describes how believers reply peacefully when ignorant people speak to them?
Ages 5–8: Duck's back. Pour water on a feather or wax paper and see it roll off, like unkind words.
Ages 9–12: Calm responses. Write three calm replies to hurtful comments.
Finish with: "I found that it is ayah ___ of Al-Furqan."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will stay calm when someone is unkind, and tell an adult if it continues."
Action: Stay calm and tell an adult.
