وَإِذْ يَقُولُ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌۭ مَّا وَعَدَنَا ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ إِلَّا غُرُورًۭا
Wa 'idh' yaqūlu l-munāfiqūna wa-lladhīna fī qulūbihim mmaraḍun mmā waʻadanā -llahu warassūluhu 'illā ghurūran
And behold! The Hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease (even) say: "Allah and His Messenger promised us nothing but delusion!"

Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does it mean when someone gives up hope too quickly?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the hypocrites say?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did some lose trust?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ahzab is surah 33. Find ayah 12. The key word ghurur means deception. When things got hard, some people with weak hearts said Allah's promises were false. Hard times reveal what is in the heart. Real trust holds on even when the outcome is not yet visible.
Fact: What is the Arabic word for hypocrites, and which surah is named after them?
Ages 5–8: Seed patience. Plant a seed and check it daily, trusting it will grow even when you see nothing yet.
