وَقَالُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا ضَلَلْنَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَءِنَّا لَفِى خَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍۭ ۚ بَلْ هُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّهِمْ كَٰفِرُونَ
Wa qālū 'a'idhā ḍalalnā fī l-'ar'ḍi 'a'innā lafī khal'qin jadīdin . bal' hum biliqā'i rabbihim' kāfirūna
And they say: "What! when we lie, hidden and lost, in the earth, shall we indeed be in a Creation renewed? Nay, they deny the Meeting with their Lord.

Some ask how they could be made new after disappearing into the earth, because they deny that they will meet their Lord.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Where do fallen leaves go when they disappear into the ground?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did these people doubt?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How will Allah bring people back?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Sajdah is surah 32. Find ayah 10. The key word dalalna means we are lost or vanished. Some people thought that once a body returns to the earth, it is gone forever. But the One who made us the first time can easily make us again. A sign to ponder: nothing in nature is truly lost; leaves become soil and soil feeds new plants.
Fact: How long does a fallen leaf take to turn into soil?
Ages 5–8: Leaf to soil. Look at old leaves, new leaves and soil, and talk about how things change.
Ages 9–12: Made again. Write why making something a second time is easier than making it the first time.
Finish with: "I found that a leaf takes about ___ to become soil."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do one good deed to prepare for meeting Allah."
Action: Do one good deed to prepare for meeting Allah.
If a child has lost someone, let a parent lead this talk gently.
