Start with bismillah.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do people do after they are safe?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I remember Allah in easy times too?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Luqman is surah 31. Find ayah 32. The key word kaz-zulal means like canopies or shadows. In a storm, people forget everything else and call on Allah with total sincerity. But some forget Him once they are safe. Believers remember Allah in good times as well as hard ones.

Ages 5–8: Storm in a bottle. Fill a bottle with water and a little oil, shake it, and watch the waves.

Ages 9–12: Good times dua. Write a dua of thanks for a time when things are going well.

Finish with: "I found that waves can reach about ___ metres."

• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How can we stay sincere in easy times?
• When did you last thank Allah for safety?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank Allah when things go well, not only when I need help."

• Share your good times dua.
