فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ ٱلْقَيِّمِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ يَوْمٌۭ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَصَّدَّعُونَ
Fa'aqim' waj'haka li ddīni l-qayyimi min qab'li 'an ya''tiya yaw'mun llā maradda lahu mina -llahi . yaw'ma'idhin yaṣṣaddaʻūna
But set thou thy face to the right Religion before there come from Allah the Day which there is no chance of averting: on that Day shall men be divided (in two).

Stand firm on the true religion before a Day comes that no one can stop, when people will be separated.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do we prepare before an exam, not during it?"
Listen to the Haramain Translations recitation of Surah Ar-Rum by Sheikh Sudais, with English translation.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What cannot be turned back?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I prepare now?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rum is surah 30. Find ayah 43. The key words la maradda lahu mean it cannot be turned back. Some things in life can be delayed or undone; that Day cannot. That is why believers stand firm now, while there is time to prepare.
Fact: Which surah begins by swearing by time and says all people are in loss except those who believe and do good?
Ages 5–8: Get ready race. Prepare your school bag the night before and talk about preparing early.
Ages 9–12: Preparation plan. Write what you would do this week if you were preparing for meeting Allah.
Finish with: "I found that it is surah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will prepare for tomorrow every night before bed."
Action: Prepare for tomorrow every night before bed.
