Ask: "Can you count everything Allah has done for you since you were born?"

Listen to the Daily Recitation TV recitation of Surah Ar-Rum by Sheikh Sudais.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which four things does Allah do?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why can nothing else do these things?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rum is surah 30. Find ayah 40. The ayah lists four actions: khalaqakum, He created you; razaqakum, He provided for you; yumitukum, He will cause you to die; yuhyikum, He will give you life. Only Allah does all four. The ayah ends: glory be to Him above what they associate.

Ages 5–8: Four steps. Draw four boxes: born, fed, passing away, raised again, with Allah above them all.

Ages 9–12: Meal maths. Work out how many meals you have eaten so far in your life.

Finish with: "I found that a person eats about ___ meals in a lifetime."
