Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do the heavens stay in place?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rum is surah 30. Find ayah 25. The key word taqum means they stand or remain. A sign to ponder: the earth spins and travels around the sun at great speed, yet stays perfectly on course. Gravity keeps everything in balance by Allah's command. With just one call, all people will rise.

Ages 5–8: Balancing act. Spin a coin on a table and watch how long it balances, then think of the earth.

Ages 9–12: Orbit model. Swing a ball on a string in a circle and explain what keeps it from flying off.
