Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What usually happens to someone who keeps mocking good advice?"

Listen to the Unique Quran recitation of Surah Ar-Rum by Anas Al-Emadi, with English translation.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did these people do with Allah's signs?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is mocking so harmful?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rum is surah 30. Find ayah 10. The key word yastahzi'un means they mock. Doing wrong again and again can harden the heart, until a person even mocks the truth. This ayah gives a short warning about where that path leads. The opposite path is humility: listening, thinking and turning back.

Fact: Which surah describes wrongdoers who laughed at the believers, and the believers who will smile at the end?

Ages 5–8: Kind or mocking. Listen to sentences and hold up a smiley face for kind and a sad face for mocking.

Ages 9–12: Respect plan. Write how to respond when someone mocks something you believe.

Finish with: "I found that it is surah ___."

• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How do you feel when someone mocks you?
• How can you show respect even when you disagree?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will not mock anyone, even as a joke."
