أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَيَعْلَمَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
'Am' ḥassib'tum' 'an tad'khulū l-jannata walammā yaʻ'lami -llahu -lladhīna jāhadū minkum' wayaʻ'lama ṣṣābirīna
Did ye think that ye would enter Heaven without Allah testing those of you who fought hard (In His Cause) and remained steadfast?

Did you think you would enter the Garden before Allah made clear who among you strove hard and who was patient?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can you win a prize without trying?"
Listen together as Mishary Alafasy recites ayat 141–148 of Ali 'Imran, a short clip shared by MZG.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two qualities are named?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Jannah need effort?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ali 'Imran is surah 3. Find ayah 142. Jannah is a great reward, and great rewards take effort and patience. Every effort for Allah counts.
Fact: The Prophet said Jannah is surrounded by things that are hard to do (Muslim).
Ages 5–8: Effort prize. Work hard on a task before a treat.
Ages 9–12: Striving. Write how you strive for Allah.
Finish with: "Jannah needs effort and ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will put extra effort into my prayer."
Action: Put extra effort into your prayer.
