وَلِيُمَحِّصَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَيَمْحَقَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
Wa liyumaḥḥiṣa -llahu -lladhīna 'āmanū wayam'ḥaqa l-kāfirīna
Allah's object also is to purge those that are true in Faith and to deprive of blessing Those that resist Faith.

Hard times happen so that Allah may purify the believers and bring the deniers to nothing.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How is gold made pure?"
Play the short Ali 'Imran clip of ayah 141 from Ummah Muslim.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah do for believers?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can hard times purify us?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ali 'Imran is surah 3. Find ayah 141. Gold is purified by heating it. Trials can clean our hearts, making us more patient and closer to Allah.
Fact: Gold is heated until it melts to remove impurities.
Ages 5–8: Pure gold. Look at gold and talk about purifying.
Ages 9–12: Purifying. Write how a trial made you better.
Finish with: "Trials ___ the believers."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will stay patient in one hard moment."
Action: Stay patient in one hard moment.
