يَوْمَ يَغْشَىٰهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِمْ وَيَقُولُ ذُوقُوا۟ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Yaw'ma yagh'shāhumu l-ʻadhābu min faw'qihim' wamin taḥ'ti 'ar'julihim' wayaqūlu dhūqū mā kuntum' taʻ'malūna
On the Day that the Punishment shall cover them from above them and from below them, and (a Voice) shall say: "Taste ye (the fruits) of your deeds!"

On that Day, the punishment will cover them from every side, and they will face the results of their deeds.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Do our actions have results, even later?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will they face?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I make sure my deeds bring good results?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-'Ankabut is surah 29. Find ayah 55. The key words ma kuntum ta'malun mean what you used to do. Every deed has a result. This one calm line describes those who rejected faith facing the results of their deeds. The good news for believers is that good deeds also bring good results.

Ages 5–8: Cause and effect. Plant a seed and talk about how what we plant grows.
Ages 9–12: Deed results. Write three good deeds and the good results they could bring.
Finish with: "I found that it is surah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will plant one good deed each day."
Action: Plant one good deed each day.
