أَمْ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن يَسْبِقُونَا ۚ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ
'Am' ḥassiba -lladhīna yaʻ'malūna ssayyi'āti 'an yas'biqūnā . sā'a mā yaḥ'kumūna
Do those who practise evil think that they will get the better of Us? Evil is their judgment!

Those who do wrong think they can escape Allah, but that is a very poor judgement.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can anyone hide from the sun at midday?"
Hear Abdul Rahman Mossad recite the opening of this surah.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do the wrongdoers think?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why can no one escape Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-'Ankabut is surah 29. Find ayah 4. The key word yasbiquna means they outrun or get ahead. Some people think their wrongdoing will go unnoticed or unpunished. This short warning reminds us that no one can outrun Allah. The wise choice is to turn back to Him.
Fact: What is the fastest land animal, and how fast can it run?
Ages 5–8: Race and rest. Run a short race and talk about how no one can outrun Allah's knowledge.
Ages 9–12: Poor judgement. Write about a time a bad decision seemed clever but was not.
Finish with: "I found that the ___ can run about ___ km per hour."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will own up to a mistake straight away."
Action: Own up to a mistake straight away.
