وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ ۖ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
Wa 'ib'rāhīma 'idh' qāla liqaw'mihi (u)ʻ'budū -llaha wa-ttaqūhu . dhālikum' khay'run llakum' 'in kuntum' taʻ'lamūna
And (We also saved) Abraham: behold, he said to his people, "Serve Allah and fear Him: that will be best for you- If ye understand!

Ibrahim told his people to worship Allah alone and be mindful of Him, for that was far better for them.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How would you explain to a friend why we worship only Allah?"
Watch the One4kids story Prophet Ibrahim Smashes the Idols, with Zaky.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two things did Ibrahim ask?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How was Ibrahim so brave?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-'Ankabut is surah 29. Find ayah 16. The key word u'budu means worship. Ibrahim lived among people who worshipped statues. He kindly but clearly called them to worship Allah alone. He explained that this was better for them, not just a rule.
Fact: In which city, in today's Iraq, is Ibrahim's homeland often said to have been?
Ages 5–8: Brave words. Practise saying "I worship only Allah" in a brave, kind voice.
Ages 9–12: Better for you. Write three ways worshipping Allah is better for us.
Finish with: "I found that it is said to be ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will explain why I worship Allah to someone curious."
Action: Explain why you worship Allah to someone curious.
