وَهُوَ ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ لَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِى ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۖ وَلَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Wa huwa -llahu lā 'ilāha 'illā huwa . lahu l-ḥam'du fī l-'ūlā wal-'ākhirati . walahu l-ḥuk'mu wa'ilay'hi tur'jaʻūna
And He is Allah: There is no god but He. To Him be praise, at the first and at the last: for Him is the Command, and to Him shall ye (all) be brought back.

He is Allah, with no god except Him; all praise belongs to Him in this life and the next, the final say is His and to Him everyone returns.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "When do you say alhamdulillah?"
Meaning of Quran plays the surah in English; listen for a little while.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "When does praise belong to Allah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why will people praise Allah in the Hereafter too?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qasas is surah 28. Find ayah 70. The key words al-ula wal-akhirah mean the first and the last. We praise Allah now for His blessings, and people of Paradise will praise Him there. He alone judges, and everyone returns to Him.
Fact: How many surahs begin with the words al-hamdu lillah?
Ages 5–8: Praise jar. Write a note of praise each time you say alhamdulillah.
Ages 9–12: First and last. Write what you praise Allah for now and what you hope to praise Him for later.
Finish with: "I found ___ surahs that begin with al-hamdu lillah."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say alhamdulillah ten times a day."
Action: Say alhamdulillah ten times a day.
