وَإِذَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦٓ إِنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلِهِۦ مُسْلِمِينَ
Wa 'idhā yut'lā ʻalay'him' qālū 'āmannā bihī 'innahu l-ḥaqqu min rrabbinā 'innā kunnā min qab'lihī mus'limīna
And when it is recited to them, they say: "We believe therein, for it is the Truth from our Lord: indeed we have been Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will) from before this.

Hearing the Quran, they declare their faith in it as truth from their Lord, adding that they had submitted to Allah even before.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does it mean to submit to Allah?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they say?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How could they be Muslims before the Quran?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qasas is surah 28. Find ayah 53. The key word muslimin means those who submit to Allah. Before the Quran, they already followed their prophets sincerely. When the Quran came, they accepted it at once. Islam has always been the way of submitting to Allah.
Fact: What does the Arabic word muslim mean?
Ages 5–8: Listen and respond. Listen to an ayah and say one thing it means to you.
Ages 9–12: Always submitting. Write how earlier prophets also submitted to Allah.
Finish with: "I found that muslim means ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen to the Quran with full attention."
Action: Listen to the Quran with full attention.
