وَنُرِيدُ أَن نَّمُنَّ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةًۭ وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ
Wa nurīdu 'an nnamunna ʻalā-lladhīna (u)s'tuḍ'ʻifū fī l-'ar'ḍi wanaj'ʻalahum' 'a'immatan wanaj'ʻalahumu l-wārithīna
And We wished to be Gracious to those who were being depressed in the land, to make them leaders (in Faith) and make them heirs,

Allah wished to show favour to the oppressed and make them leaders and heirs.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Have you ever seen someone small do something great?"
Deen Stories TV tells the full story of Musa and Pharaoh. Play the first few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah want for the weak?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does Allah raise people up?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qasas is surah 28. Find ayah 5. The key word nurid means We wish. Pharaoh had his plans, but Allah had a bigger plan. The people who were pushed down would become leaders and inherit the land. Power belongs to Allah, not to tyrants.
Fact: Which tiny insect can carry many times its own body weight?
Ages 5–8: Small but strong. Draw a tiny creature doing something big.
Ages 9–12: Rising up. Write about someone who started weak and became strong.
Finish with: "I found that the ___ can carry many times its weight."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will stand up kindly for someone who needs help."
Action: Stand up kindly for someone who needs help.
