وَأَتْبَعْنَٰهُمْ فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةًۭ ۖ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ هُم مِّنَ ٱلْمَقْبُوحِينَ
Wa 'at'baʻ'nāhum' fī hādhihi ddun'yā laʻ'natan . wayaw'ma l-qiyāmati hum mmina l-maq'būḥīna
in this world We made a curse to follow them and on the Day of Judgment they will be among the loathed (and despised).

A curse trails them in this life, and on the Day of Rising they will be among the disgraced.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do you want people to remember you?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What makes a good name last?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qasas is surah 28. Find ayah 42. The key word la'nah means a curse, being far from mercy. Thousands of years later, Pharaoh is still remembered as a tyrant. Musa is remembered with love and respect. Our actions decide how we are remembered.

Ages 5–8: Good name. Draw a badge with one good word you want people to remember about you.
Ages 9–12: Legacy. Write what you would like people to say about you one day.
Finish with: "I found it is the ___ in Cairo."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do one deed I'd be happy to be remembered for."
Action: Do one deed you'd be happy to be remembered for.
