أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِيَسْكُنُوا۟ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ
'Alam' yaraw' 'annā jaʻalnā -llay'la liyas'kunū fīhi wa nnahāra mub'ṣiran . 'inna fī dhālika la'āyātin lliqaw'min yu''minūna
See they not that We have made the Night for them to rest in and the Day to give them light? Verily in this are Signs for any people that believe!

Allah made the night for rest and the day bright for seeing, signs for those who believe.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What would happen without night?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What are night and day for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah make day and night?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Naml is surah 27. Find ayah 86. The key word mubsiran means giving sight, bright. Night is for resting and day lets us see and work. A sign to ponder: the earth spins at just the right speed for this rhythm.
Fact: How long does the Earth take to spin once?
Ages 5–8: Day and night. Use a torch and a ball to show day and night.
Ages 9–12: Spin facts. Find out what would happen if the Earth spun much slower.
Finish with: "I found it takes about ___ hours."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will sleep early and wake fresh for the day."
Action: Sleep early and wake fresh for the day.
