The Prophet is told not to be sad over them or upset by their schemes.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you do when people you care about make bad choices?"
Sheikh Hani Ar-Rifa'i's recitation is on the Quran Recitation channel.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What should the Prophet not do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does Allah comfort the Prophet?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Naml is surah 27. Find ayah 70. The key words la tahzan mean do not grieve. The Prophet cared so much that their rejection hurt him. Allah comforted him: their plots will not harm you. We do our part and leave the rest to Allah.
Fact: Which surah's ayah 3 says the Prophet might almost harm himself with grief because they would not believe?
Ages 5–8: Comfort words. Make a card with words that comfort a sad friend.
Ages 9–12: Doing our part. Write what is our job and what is Allah's when sharing good.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will comfort someone who feels sad."
Action: Comfort someone who feels sad.
