قُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱصْطَفَىٰٓ ۗ ءَآللَّهُ خَيْرٌ أَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Quli l-ḥam'du lillahi wassalāmun ʻalā ʻibādihi -lladhīna (i)ṣ'ṭafā . 'āllahu khay'run 'ammā yush'rikūna
Say: Praise be to Allah, and Peace on his servants whom He has chosen (for his Message). (Who) is better?- Allah or the false gods they associate (with Him)?

The Prophet is told to praise Allah and send peace on His chosen servants, and to ask whether Allah is better or the partners they set up.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do we say alhamdulillah after hearing stories?"
Mufti Menk shares simple steps to show gratitude to Allah.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who receives peace in this ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does the surah praise Allah after the stories?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Naml is surah 27. Find ayah 59. The key words al-hamdu lillah and salam mean praise to Allah and peace. After the stories of Musa, Sulayman, Salih and Lut, the surah praises Allah and greets the prophets with peace. Then a series of powerful questions begins.
Fact: Which surah ends with peace upon the messengers and praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds?
Ages 5–8: Praise and peace. Say alhamdulillah and send salam on the prophets you know.
Ages 9–12: Story review. List the prophets from this surah and one lesson each.
Finish with: "I found it is Surah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say alhamdulillah after finishing each task."
Action: Say alhamdulillah after finishing each task.
