فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
Fa'al'qā mūssā ʻaṣāhu fa'idhā hiya tal'qafu mā ya''fikūna
Then Moses threw his rod, when, behold, it straightway swallows up all the falsehoods which they fake!

Musa threw his staff, and it gobbled up everything they had faked.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens to a lie when the truth arrives?"
Ustadh Hisham Abu Yusuf explains how the magicians chose Allah over Pharaoh, on Towards Allah.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the staff do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did the magicians know it was real?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shu'ara is surah 26. Find ayah 45. The key word talqafu means it swallowed. All the tricks disappeared at once. The magicians, experts in tricks, saw something no trick could do. Truth swallows falsehood.
Fact: Which ayah of Ta-Ha says a magician will not succeed wherever he goes?
Ages 5–8: Truth wins. Draw light swallowing up darkness.
Ages 9–12: Experts see. Write why the magicians recognised the truth first.
Finish with: "I found it is ayah ___ of Ta-Ha."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will choose the truth even when a lie seems easier."
