Ask: "Who do people trust when they swear by a king?"

Hear Qari Abdul Basit recite the story of Musa and Pharaoh, uploaded by Muhammad HD.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "By whose might did they swear?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why trust Pharaoh's might?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shu'ara is surah 26. Find ayah 44. The key words bi-'izzati Fir'awn mean by the might of Pharaoh. The magicians trusted a human king. Their ropes seemed to move, but it was a trick. Trusting created power leads to disappointment.

Fact: Which ayah of Ta-Ha says their ropes and sticks seemed to Musa to be moving?

Ages 5–8: Real or seems. Watch a spinning wheel and talk about what seems to move.

Ages 9–12: Whose power? Write why trusting Allah's power is wiser than trusting people.

Finish with: "I found it is ayah ___ of Ta-Ha."
