فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Fakadhdhabūhu fa'akhadhahum' ʻadhābu yaw'mi ẓẓullati . 'innahu kāna ʻadhāba yaw'min ʻaẓīmin
But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day.

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is it called the day of shadow?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shu'ara is surah 26. Find ayah 189. The key word adh-dhullah means the shadow, the canopy. One calm line: the people of the wood were overtaken on that day. Shu'ayb and the believers were saved.
Fact: Which ayah of Surah Hud says Allah saved Shu'ayb and the believers by His mercy?
Ages 5–8: Clear sky. Draw the believers under a clear sky after the dark cloud passed.
Ages 9–12: Shu'ayb's people. Write why they ignored the final warning.
