4-I guide
Shu'ayb put a question to the people of the wood: did they not fear Allah?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you notice is different about how Shu'ayb is introduced?"
Stories of the Prophets tells the story of Prophet Shu'ayb.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Shu'ayb ask?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why isn't Shu'ayb called 'their brother' here?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shu'ara is surah 26. Find ayah 177. The key word Shu'ayb is a prophet also sent to Madyan. Here he is not called 'their brother', unlike the other prophets in this surah. Many scholars say he was not from the people of the wood. His call was still the same: be mindful.
Fact: Which ayah of Surah Hud calls Shu'ayb the brother of Madyan?
Ages 5–8: Spot the difference. Read ayah 177 and ayah 161 and find the difference.
Ages 9–12: Careful reading. Write why small word changes matter in the Quran.
Finish with: "I found it is ayah ___ of Hud."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will read one ayah very carefully."
Action: Read one ayah very carefully.
