وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ هَوْنًۭا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلْجَٰهِلُونَ قَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًۭا
Wa ʻibādu rraḥ'māni -lladhīna yam'shūna ʻalāl-'ar'ḍi haw'nan wa'idhā khāṭabahumu l-jāhilūna qālū salāman
And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!";

The servants of the Most Merciful walk gently and humbly, and when foolish people speak rudely to them, they reply with words of peace.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do you answer when someone is rude to you?"
Majed Mahmoud reflects on the humble walk of the servants of the Most Merciful in four minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How do they walk?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I answer rudeness with peace?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Furqan is surah 25. Find ayah 63. The key words 'ibad ar-Rahman mean the servants of the Most Merciful, and hawna means gently, humbly. This begins a portrait of the people Allah loves. The first signs are a humble walk and a peaceful reply.

Ages 5–8: Gentle walk. Walk across the room calmly and quietly.
Ages 9–12: Peaceful reply. Write a calm answer to three rude comments.
