أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ ٱلظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَهُۥ سَاكِنًۭا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًۭا
'Alam' tara 'ilā rabbika kay'fa madda ẓẓilla walaw' shā'a lajaʻalahu sākinan thumma jaʻalnā shsham'sa ʻalay'hi dalīlan
Hast thou not turned thy vision to thy Lord?- How He doth prolong the shadow! If He willed, He could make it stationary! then do We make the sun its guide;

Look how Allah stretches out the shadow, which He could have made still, and makes the sun what guides it.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Have you ever watched your shadow change during the day?"
QURAN - THE ONELIGHT plays the ayah of the stretching shadow with its meaning on screen.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What guides the shadow?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What would happen if shadows never moved?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Furqan is surah 25. Find ayah 45. The key word az-zill means shadow. Shadows stretch in the morning, shrink at noon and stretch again in the evening, guided by the sun. A sign to ponder about Allah's control.
Fact: At what time of day is your shadow shortest?
Ages 5–8: Shadow chalk. Draw around your shadow in the morning and again at noon.
Ages 9–12: Shadow clock. Write how people used shadows to tell the time.
Finish with: "I found my shadow is shortest at ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will watch a shadow move and say subhanallah."
Action: Watch a shadow move and say subhanallah.
