فَقُلْنَا ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَٰهُمْ تَدْمِيرًۭا
Faqulnā (i)dh'habā 'ilāl-qaw'mi -lladhīna kadhdhabū bi'āyātinā fadammar'nāhum' tad'mīran
And We command: "Go ye both, to the people who have rejected our Signs:" And those (people) We destroyed with utter destruction.

Allah sent the two brothers to a people who rejected His signs, and in the end those people were destroyed.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does a messenger do when people refuse to listen?"
Play Maher Al-Muaiqly's recitation from From Darkness To Light and follow along.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where were the brothers sent?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why are past peoples mentioned here?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Furqan is surah 25. Find ayah 36. The key word tadmira means complete destruction. The story of Pharaoh is told in one line here. The lesson is short: rejecting Allah's signs again and again ends badly.
Fact: Which surah tells the story of Musa and Pharaoh at the greatest length?
Ages 5–8: Two by two. Draw two brothers walking together with a message.
Ages 9–12: One-line story. Summarise the Musa story in one sentence, as this ayah does.
Finish with: "I found it is Surah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen when I am reminded about a good deed."
Action: Listen when you are reminded about a good deed.
