وَيَدْرَؤُا۟ عَنْهَا ٱلْعَذَابَ أَن تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَٰدَٰتٍۭ بِٱللَّهِ ۙ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ
Wa yad'ra'u ʻan'hā l-ʻadhāba 'an tash'hada 'ar'baʻa shahādātin bi-llahi 'innahu lamina l-kādhibīna
But it would avert the punishment from the wife, if she bears witness four times (with an oath) By Allah, that (her husband) is telling a lie;

The wife is protected too: she can answer with her own solemn oath before Allah, and no penalty falls on her.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "In a fair game, does only one side get to speak?"
Play the An-Nur recitation by Mishary Al-Afasy on the القرآن_الكريم@ channel and follow the English for a few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What protects the wife in this ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does Allah make sure both people are treated fairly?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nur is surah 24. Find ayah 8. Allah's law gives the wife her voice too. She can answer with her own solemn oath before Allah, and no penalty falls on her. Allah is fair to both people. Only Allah knows who is telling the truth, and the matter is left with Him. The lesson for us: hear both sides, and never accuse anyone without proof.
Fact: Which name of Allah means the Most Just?
Ask your teacher (Al-'Adl).
Ages 5–8: Take turns. Play a talking game where everyone gets the same number of turns to speak.
Ages 9–12: Hearing both sides. Write about a time you only heard one side of a story, and what changed when you heard the other.
Finish with: "I found the name ___ means the Most Just."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when there is an argument, I will listen to ___ (both sides) before deciding."
Action: Listen to both sides this week.
