Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Why do people take a promise made in Allah's name very seriously?"

Try a few minutes of Mishary Alafasy on the iRecite channel from M Asif.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why does Allah not want anyone punished unfairly?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is it wrong to blame someone without proof?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nur is surah 24. Find ayah 6. This ayah is about a serious matter between grown-ups. When there is no witness, Allah set a special, solemn way for it to be settled before a judge, with oaths in Allah's name, so that no one is punished unfairly. This belongs to judges, not to us. The lesson for us is simple: never accuse anyone without proof. Other questions can go to a parent, an ustaz or an ustazah.

Fact: Which ayah of An-Nur says believers should think well of each other when they hear bad talk? Look between ayat 10 and 13.

Ages 5–8: Truth jar. Each time someone tells the truth when it was hard, add a bead to a jar.

Ages 9–12: Proof or guess? Write one sentence about something you saw and one about something you only guessed. Talk about why we never blame anyone on a guess.

Finish with: "I found it in ayah ___."

Talk together:

• Why is it wrong to blame someone without proof?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How does Allah knowing everything help us be honest?
• What can you do if you are not sure what really happened?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will check the facts before I blame anyone at ___ (where)."

• Explain to a sibling why we never blame someone without proof.
• Share your proof-or-guess sentences.
• Next time: the next ayah (24:7) shows how serious it is to lie in Allah's name. Explore it together!
