Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Can you name an animal with no legs, one with two and one with four?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which three ways of moving does the ayah name?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do all animals need water?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nur is surah 24. Find ayah 45. A sign to ponder: every animal's body is full of water, and life began with water. Snakes slide on their bellies, birds walk on two legs, and many animals walk on four. Allah creates whatever He wills.

Fact: About how much of an animal's body is water? Find out for one animal.

Ages 5–8: Sort the animals. Sort animal pictures into belly, two legs and four legs.

Ages 9–12: Water inside. Write about how one animal gets and keeps water.

Finish with: "I found ___ is about ___ water."

Talk together:

• Which animal amazes you most?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why does Allah make animals so different?
• How can you care for animals?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will put out water for birds or care for an animal ___ (where)."

• Show your sorted animals.
• Share your water writing.
