Ask: "How can something that hurts end up teaching us something good?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah say about whether this was bad for the believers?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can Allah bring good out of hard things?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nur is surah 24. Find ayah 11. This ayah begins a passage about a lie that once spread about good people. We don't retell it; the lessons are for us. Allah says the hard time brought good: the believers learned how to deal with rumours. Every person who helped spread it carries their own share.

Fact: Which ayah in this passage says Allah knows and we don't? Look around ayah 19.

Ages 5–8: Pearl. Look at a picture of an oyster. A grain of grit inside becomes a pearl. Talk about good from hard things.

Ages 9–12: Lessons list. Write three lessons a community could learn after a rumour.

Finish with: "I found it in ayah ___."

Talk together:

• Why do lies spread so fast?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How can a hard time make us stronger?
• What is your share when you pass on a story?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will not pass on any story about a person ___ (where)."

• Show someone the pearl picture and explain.
• Share your lessons list.
• Next time: the next ayah (24:12) says what believers should have thought. Explore it together!
