وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ ٱخْتِلَٰفُ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Wa huwa -lladhī yuḥ'yī wayumītu walahu (i)kh'tilāfu -llay'li wa nnahāri . 'afalā taʻ'qilūna
It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand?

Allah gives life and death, and the changing of night and day is His, so won't you use your minds?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why does the day keep coming back?"
Sit quietly and hear Islam Sobhi, posted by القارىء إسلام صبحي Islam Sobhi. Only the start is needed.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What question ends the ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What can I learn from night and day?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mu'minun is surah 23. Find ayah 80. A sign to ponder: the earth spins, giving day and night; life comes and goes. Allah asks us to think: afala ta'qilun, won't you reason?
Fact: Where on Earth can the sun stay up for 24 hours in summer?
Ages 5–8: Day and night book. Draw what you do in the day and at night.
Ages 9–12: Midnight sun. Find out why some places have midnight sun.
Finish with: "I found the midnight sun happens in ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will notice one sunrise or sunset."
Action: Notice one sunrise or sunset.
