كُلَّمَآ أَرَادُوٓا۟ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا مِنْ غَمٍّ أُعِيدُوا۟ فِيهَا وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ
Kullamā 'arādū 'an yakh'rujū min'hā min' ghammin 'uʻīdū fīhā wadhūqū ʻadhāba l-ḥarīqi
Every time they wish to get away therefrom, from anguish, they will be forced back therein, and (it will be said), "Taste ye the Penalty of Burning!"

Whenever they try to escape the anguish, they are sent back and told to taste the burning punishment.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why is it better to stop a mistake early?"
Only a few minutes are needed: Hani Ar-Rifa'i recites Al-Hajj on Tadabbur Daily.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What happens when they try to escape?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does the Quran end this passage and turn to good news?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hajj is surah 22. Find ayah 22. This is the last of the hard ayat in this passage. Straight after, Allah describes the believers' reward. The Quran always balances fear with hope.
Fact: Find the ayah right after this one: what do the believers wear? (22:23.).
Ages 5–8: Fear and hope. Draw a cloud and a sun side by side.
Ages 9–12: Balance. Write why believers have both fear and hope.
Finish with: "I found they wear ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will stop a bad habit early: ___."
Action: Stop early.
