قَالُوا۟ مَن فَعَلَ هَٰذَا بِـَٔالِهَتِنَآ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
Qālū man faʻala hādhā bi'ālihatinā 'innahu lamina ẓẓālimīna
They said, "Who has done this to our gods? He must indeed be some man of impiety!"

The people asked who had done this to their gods, saying whoever did it must be a wrongdoer.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do people do when something they love is damaged?"
Hear a short part of Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi's recitation on القناة الرسمية للشيخ محمد صديق المنشاوي.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they call the one who did it?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why didn't they ask why their gods didn't protect themselves?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anbiya is surah 21. Find ayah 59. They were angry but didn't ask the obvious question: why couldn't the idols protect themselves? Anger can stop us thinking clearly.
Fact: Find how Ibrahim later answered them (21:63).
Ages 5–8: Calm down first. Practise slow breathing when angry.
Ages 9–12: Anger and thinking. Write how anger can block clear thinking.
Finish with: "I found he answered ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will take three breaths before reacting."
Action: Take three breaths before reacting.
