قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أُنذِرُكُم بِٱلْوَحْىِ ۚ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ
Qul' 'innamā 'undhirukum bil-waḥ'yi . walā yas'maʻu ṣṣummu dduʻā'a 'idhā mā yundharūna
Say, "I do but warn you according to revelation": But the deaf will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned!

The Prophet warns only by revelation, but those who choose to be deaf don't hear the call when warned.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can someone hear if they cover their ears?"
Try a little of Mishary Alafasy's Al-Anbiya from Rashad Nageeb, and follow along.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who doesn't hear the call?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I keep my ears open to good?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anbiya is surah 21. Find ayah 45. The deaf here means people who refuse to listen. The warning is clear; the choice to listen is ours.

Ages 5–8: Covered ears. Cover your ears while someone speaks. What did you miss?
Ages 9–12: Open ears. Write how to be a good listener.
Finish with: "I found the ear ___."
Talk together:
