قَالُوا۟ لَن نَّبْرَحَ عَلَيْهِ عَٰكِفِينَ حَتَّىٰ يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ
Qālū lan nnab'raḥa ʻalay'hi ʻākifīna ḥattā yar'jiʻa 'ilay'nā mūssā
They had said: "We will not abandon this cult, but we will devote ourselves to it until Moses returns to us."

The people refused to listen and said they would keep worshipping the calf until Musa came back.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do people sometimes refuse good advice?"
Hear the opening minutes of Ta-Ha in Yasser Al-Dosari's voice, from ضياء القلوب .
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Until when did they say they would continue?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why didn't they listen to Harun?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ta-Ha is surah 20. Find ayah 91. The people were stubborn. They wouldn't listen until Musa returned. Listening to good advice early saves lots of trouble.
Fact: Find the ayah in Az-Zumar about those who listen to speech and follow its finest (39:18).
Ages 5–8: Listen game. One gives advice; the other repeats it back.
Ages 9–12: Stubborn. Write why it's hard to listen sometimes.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen to good advice the first time."
