وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ
Wa 'idh' qulnā lil'malā'ikati (u)s'judū li'ādama fassajadū 'illā 'ib'līssa 'abā
When We said to the angels, "Prostrate yourselves to Adam", they prostrated themselves, but not Iblis: he refused.

Allah told the angels to bow to Adam, and they all did except Iblis, who refused.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What is pride?"
Hear the opening minutes of Ta-Ha in Mishary Alafasy's voice, from Nuh Hassan.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who refused?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did pride stop Iblis?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ta-Ha is surah 20. Find ayah 116. The angels obeyed at once. Iblis was too proud. Pride makes us refuse what is right.
Fact: Find the reason Iblis gave (Al-A'raf 7:12).
Ages 5–8: Obey quickly. Play a game following instructions fast.
Ages 9–12: Pride. Write how pride stops us from doing right.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do what's right even when my pride says no."
Action: Do what's right even when your pride says no.
