فَقُلْنَا ٱضْرِبُوهُ بِبَعْضِهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُحْىِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَيُرِيكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
Faqulnā (i)ḍ'ribūhu bibaʻ'ḍihā . kadhālika yuḥ'yi -llahu l-maw'tā wayurīkum' 'āyātihī laʻallakum' taʻ'qilūna
So We said: "Strike the (body) with a piece of the (heifer)." Thus Allah bringeth the dead to life and showeth you His Signs: Perchance ye may understand.

They were told to strike the dead man with part of the cow, and he was brought back to say who had killed him; this is how Allah gives life to the dead and shows His signs so you may understand.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What sign did Allah show them?"
DuniaAkhiratYT posted a short recitation of ayat 71–75 of Al-Baqarah. Listen to all of it together.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah give to the dead?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What does this teach about the Last Day?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 73. By Allah's power, the man was briefly brought back and named the one responsible. It shows Allah can raise the dead, as He will on the Last Day.
Fact: This is one of five times in Al-Baqarah that Allah shows giving life to the dead.
Ages 5–8: Life signs. Name signs of life coming back, like spring.
Ages 9–12: Raising. Write how this proves the Last Day.
Finish with: "Allah gives ___ to the dead."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will notice new plants growing and remember this ayah."
