كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
Kadhālika yubayyinu -llahu lakum' 'āyātihī laʻallakum' taʻ'qilūna
Thus doth Allah Make clear His Signs to you: In order that ye may understand.

This is how Allah makes His signs clear to you, so that you may understand.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why does Allah explain His rules?"
Play the short Al-Baqarah clip of ayat 241–242 from Read Quran Easily.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why are the signs made clear?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why understanding matters, not just obeying?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 242. Allah explains, not just commands, so we understand the wisdom. Understanding helps us obey with our hearts.
Fact: La'allakum ta'qilun means so that you may understand.
Ages 5–8: Why? Ask a parent why one rule exists.
Ages 9–12: Wisdom. Write the wisdom behind one rule.
Finish with: "So that you may ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn the reason behind one Islamic rule."
Action: Learn the reason behind one Islamic rule.
