وَلَكُمْ فِى ٱلْقِصَاصِ حَيَوٰةٌۭ يَٰٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
Wa lakum' fī l-qiṣāṣi ḥayātun yā'ūlī l-'al'bābi laʻallakum' tattaqūna
In the Law of Equality there is (saving of) Life to you, o ye men of understanding; that ye may restrain yourselves.

In fair justice there is life for you, people of understanding, so that you may be mindful.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How can justice protect lives?"
Listen together as Mishary Alafasy recites ayat 177–181 of Al-Baqarah, a short clip shared by MZG.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is in fair justice?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does a fair law save lives?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 179. When people know harm brings fair consequences, they hold back, and lives are saved. Fair laws keep communities safe.
Fact: This ayah is often quoted as a model of short, wise words.
Ages 5–8: Fair rules. Talk about how rules keep a game safe.
Ages 9–12: Safe community. Write how fair laws protect people.
Finish with: "In justice there is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will follow home rules that keep everyone safe."
Action: Follow home rules that keep everyone safe.
