مَثَلُهُمْ كَمَثَلِ ٱلَّذِى ٱسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًۭا فَلَمَّآ أَضَآءَتْ مَا حَوْلَهُۥ ذَهَبَ ٱللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمْ وَتَرَكَهُمْ فِى ظُلُمَٰتٍۢ لَّا يُبْصِرُونَ
How to read it
Mathaluhum' kamathali -lladhī (i)s'taw'qada nāran falammā 'aḍā'at' mā ḥaw'lahu dhahaba -llahu binūrihim' watarakahum' fī ẓulumātin llā yub'ṣirūna
Their similitude is that of a man who kindled a fire; when it lighted all around him, Allah took away their light and left them in utter darkness. So they could not see.
