Ask: "Which way did Muslims face before the Ka'bah?"

Play the short clip from MZG of Mishary Alafasy reciting ayat 142–145 of Al-Baqarah.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will the foolish ask?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did the qiblah change?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 142. Muslims first faced Jerusalem in prayer, then Allah changed the qiblah to the Ka'bah. Directions belong to Allah; obedience is what matters.

Fact: Muslims faced Jerusalem in prayer for about 16 or 17 months in Madinah (Bukhari).

Ages 5–8: Find the qiblah. Use a compass to find the qiblah.

Ages 9–12: Obedience. Write why obeying matters more than direction.
