تِلْكَ أُمَّةٌۭ قَدْ خَلَتْ ۖ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَلَكُم مَّا كَسَبْتُمْ ۖ وَلَا تُسْـَٔلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
Til'ka 'ummatun qad' khalat' . lahā mā kassabat' walakum mmā kassab'tum' . walā tus''alūna ʻammā kānū yaʻ'malūna
That was a people that hath passed away. They shall reap the fruit of what they did, and ye of what ye do! Of their merits there is no question in your case:

Those earlier people have passed; each generation answers for its own deeds, and you will not be asked about theirs.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why is this ayah repeated?"
A short clip on Ummah Muslim recites ayah 141 of Al-Baqarah. Play the whole clip.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will we be asked about?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why stress our own deeds twice?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 141. This repeats ayah 134. The lesson is so important it comes twice: focus on your own deeds.
Fact: This ayah repeats 2:134.
Ages 5–8: Family tree. Draw a family tree and write: each answers for their own deeds.
Ages 9–12: Repeated lesson. Write why this lesson is repeated.
Finish with: "We will be asked about our ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will add a good deed to my record each day."
Action: Add a good deed to your record each day.
